Sanyo announces 14MO full HD Xacti camcorders

Sanyo has announced two camcorders in their Xacti range, the DMX-CG100 and the DMX-GH1. Both are capable of full HD video recording (1920 x 1080) but come in two different form factors. The DMX-CG100 is available in white lead-red (that’s really the name) and blue with the vertical form.

The DMX-GH1 is a more conventional form and is available in silver, pink and blue. They’re equipped with 1,440 ten thousand pixels CMOS sensors and will accept SD multimedia cards up to 64GB. Built in memory is just 50MB.

Sanyo Xacti DMX-SH11 Ultra Slim Dual Camcorder

Sanyo is releasing a new ultra slim dual-camcorder, the Xacti DMX-SH11. This good looking video recorder features a 3.5MP CMOS sensor and a 35mm wide angle lens. The Xacti DMX-SH11 also delivers a 30X “Advanced Zoom” function along with a Full HD video recording mode.

Some other specs include 16GB of internal memory, Eye-Fi and SDXC card compatibility, a mini HDMI port, “Sound Zoom” technology, a digital image stabilizer and the face chaser function. The Sanyo Xacti DMX-SH11 will cost you about $669.

Sanyo pulls wraps off new Xacti VPC-CS1

When I need to take a camera or a video camera with me, I am a big fan of compact devices that work well. I have a large DSLR but it is a pain to carry around all day when I need a camera. Sanyo has unveiled a new Xacti VPC-CS1 camera that shoots video and still shots in one package.

The camera is set to go on sale in February 2010 for $299.99 and will come in silver only. The device can record full 1080p HD video using MPEG-4 AVC/H.264. Sanyo says that this is the thinnest Xacti yet at only 27mm thick and weighing 142g.

Sanyo Dual Camera Xacti

Sanyo has a new line up of mixed form factor (horizontal, vertical) Dual Camera Xacti digital cameras it unveiled today. These models, including full HD 60fps units, waterproof HD models and compact HD cameras, will be available starting in March.

These new Sanyo cameras will range in price between around $200 and $600. These units will let consumers record both video and digital images to SD/SDHC cards and are said by Sanyo to be thumb operable for important functions. Separate video and photo buttons offer switch between digital recording modes.
