Twist & Brush Syringe Toothbrush

Posted in Concepts by Conner Flynn on March 23rd, 2011

Do you have trouble getting just the right amount of toothpaste onto your toothbrush? If so, I shudder to think what other simple concepts you have not mastered. But this concept toothbrush can help. The handle is a syringe for your toothpaste.

Basically it makes sure that you always have the right amount. This would be perfect for messy kids who want to squeeze the whole tube onto their brush each time. So this could save you some money in toothpaste. The concept is called the Twist & Brush and comes from Spanish designers Awamura-ganjavian.

Self-standing toothbrush

This self-standing toothbrush concept looks great. Plus it eliminates the need for those tacky toothbrush holders. The DEWS toothbrush, designed by Ryan and Harc, has a nice fat, weighted handle that keeps it upright, even if you try to knock it down.

This is such a great idea I’m surprised it doesn’t exist already. Hopefully someone will make this happen. Now, if it could only automatically dispense toothpaste, it would be perfect.

The 40 Second Electric Toothbrush

We’ve never seen a toothbrush like this one before. These Hammacher Schlemmer super toothbrushes promise to clean all of your teeth in just 40 seconds. This bizarre looking device looks like it was designed to brush Predator teeth. It has four heads that will clean the front, back, and chewing surface of your top and bottom teeth all at the same time.

The brushes do their thing 810 times per minute and are mounted on self-adjusting pivoting heads. Sounds like a powerful cleaning. It uses two AA batteries which will give you 60 uses after a full 12-hour charge. It comes with four soft bristle brush heads and a tongue cleaner.

Concept toothbrush doesn’t have bristles

Concept toothbrush doesn’t have bristlesFabio Dabori’s sponge-loaded toothbrush acts more like a buffing or waxing machine for your teeth. It kinda makes sense. Bristles can be uncomfortable. And you wouldn’t take a bristled brush to your car finish right? The Giro Sponge concept is an electric teeth cleaner that features a soft, round head that is gentle for babies and grown-ups with sensitive teeth and gums. Apparently Dabori has patents on the idea and is hoping to get it on store shelves soon so you can get a good shine on those pearly whites.

Shake-A-Brush upgrades your toothbrush

Shake-A-Brush
Are you bored with your plain old toothbrush? If so, this should spice up your bathroom time. The Shake-A-Brush electric toothbrush power adapter will turn any regular toothbrush into a motorized one. All you have to do is insert the toothbrush into the adapter and it will vibrate.

Great idea. Now, it probably won’t compare to those Sonic Care Toothbrushes as the bristles still won’t move, but this would be great for those of you still attaching your toothbrush to a cell phone set on vibrate with duct tape. Stop being a cheapskate already and just buy the real deal.
