Microsoft denies Blu-ray player rumors for the Xbox 360Sky and Microsoft are striking a deal that will see the Xbox 360 Console playing live broadcast TV. Xbox users will be able to upgrade to Sky channels this autumn in the UK and Ireland. Xbox owners would have access to sports and programs, and also be able to order movies on demand without a set-top box or satellite dish.

Existing Sky subscribers don’t have to worry. The company has hinted at reduced costs if they prefer to use the Xbox console. The line-up of channels and content available on the Xbox would be similar to the existing Sky Player service, available on PCs and Macs.

Pantech’s blow-controlled Sky Wind

Pantech’s blow-controlled Sky WindPantech’s latest creation, the Sky Wind, features blow-controls. What this means is that you can huff and puff and interact with your phone. The handset will run on the Emotion Engine developed by Fantalog Interactive. Blow controls include the ability to switch wallpapers, adjust the brightness level and even take a photo.

Hell, you can probably literally blow somebody off if you get a call you don’t want. Obviously this is pretty much a novelty. I mean it can’t be nearly as useful as the iPhone’s accelerometer for instance. The Pantech Sky Wind will be available this February. No word on price yet, but we think it blows.

PlayStation and Sky launch Go!View for the PSP
PlayStation has partnered with Sky to create a new video-on-demand download service called Go!View. As in…Go and view. Very clever. Those guys who name stuff really earned their money on that one. It will allow users to create TV schedules for their PSPs, completely tailored to suit the users individual needs and tastes.

You’ll be able to choose from a wide range of stuff like comedy, entertainment, sports and movies. You download it from your PC and watch wherever and whenever you damn well like. Never miss anything ever again. It works on a subscription or pay-per-view basis.

Sky Quilt cell phone looks cottony soft

Features include: 2.4″ QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera, LED lighting, MP3 playback, Electronic dictionary, and BankOn service. The Sky Quilt will be available in white, black and pink colors, retailing for under $400.
