Some screenshots of the upcoming BlackBerry Shield service have now surfaced. This service will function like Apple’s “Find My iPhone” feature for iPhones with MobileMe. Basically, BlackBerry Shield will allow users to track their lost or stolen phones using Google Maps.

It will also allow users to remotely wipe important information from the device using a web browser. Some other features include custom lost and found messages, remote password settings, and alarms to help you find the device when it’s in your immediate area.

Some screenshots of Yahoo’s iPad app have surfaced, and it looks way better than their website and uses the iPad’s screen space well. In just a few days the iPad will start shipping, so it’s time to start thinking about apps.

This one will be on your list just because it looks so nice. They did a great job with the UI. I hope others are paying attention. Not at all what you would expect from Yahoo.

You’ve been dying to know what the App Store is like on the iPad, right? Well, here ya go. App tracking and analytics site AppAnnie discovered these shots while “searching for clues” on the device and is sharing them with the world.

One thing that you will notice is that Apple will be using HD to mark applications that have been tweaked in a special iPad version, or have had their resolution upped. You might also notice some apps that aren’t available on the iPhone right now, like the $49.99 OmniGraffle.

Microsoft has shown off some screenshots of 3D games on the new Windows Phone 7 platform, and from the looks of them, the games look pretty awesome. The new Windows Phone 7 handsets feature NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 chipset, which can produce good quality 3D graphics.

With games looking this good, the iPhone may have some serious competition. Game developers are sure paying attention to the Windows Phone 7 platform now if they weren’t before.

Samsung bada screenshots leakSome screenshots of the upcoming Samsung bada OS have leaked and it’s no surprise that it looks more or less like the company’s TouchWiz UI. bada will be an open platform like Android in hopes that developers will do all the hard work, tweak it and make it better.

Your handset will need a minimum 800 x 480 resolution display in order to get the most out bada and multi-touch gestures are supported so it can compete with the likes of Apple’s iPhone OS.

Beatles Rock Band trailer, screenshots and drums unveiled at E3

Today E3 was seriously rocked by Beatles Rock Band as they unleashed the awesomness that is the fab four upon the world. Turns out that you will be able to perform multiple vocals (harmonies). Harmonix showed off what you can expect in the game.

The Beatles: Rock Band will be released simultaneously for XBox 360, PS3 and the Wii in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and other territories. The trailer above is pretty awesome for Beatles fans.

Screenshots of Office 2010At one point, Microsoft Office had the code name office 14, at least until January, but it looks like Microsoft has decided to use the release year name. So, the next version is to be called Office 2010. Arstechnica has a bunch of leaked screenshots of Office 2010 which should go to testers in 2 months.

Office 2010 will arrive next year and include Access 2010, Excel 2010, InfoPath 2010, OneNote 2010, Outlook 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Project 2010, Publisher 2010, SharePoint Designer 2010, SharePoint Workspace 2010, Visio 2010 and Word 2010.
