Scope Watch tells time using latitude and longitude

Posted in Watches by Conner Flynn on May 4th, 2010

Here’s a cool retro looking watch. Looks a bit large though. The Scope watch looks like something from a movie. Specifically it looks like that familiar computer screen where our hero locks onto an object, say a car, and enhances it several times until he can read the license plate numbers.

The design is simple and that’s why it’s cool. It won’t enhance images, but the watch uses the tried and true latitude and longitude to give you the time.

Minox DCMThere are several reasons that you might want to be able to take pictures of something far away by connecting a digital camera to a scope of some sort. A few examples are bird watchers (boring), astronomy buffs wanting to shoot pictures of heavenly bodies (interesting), and the pervert wanting to shoot pics of that hot college girl up the street (illegal).

No matter what your plan for use of a telescopic camera set up, Minox has a new Digital Camera module that will let you shoot the picture. The Digital Camera Module (DCM) is designed to fit to a spotting scopes eyepiece bayonet. The DCM system has a magnification of 40x.
