So what exactly is inside of a Samsung Focus? If you’ve been dying to know, but have been understandably unwilling to take yours apart, don’t worry. Someone has done it for you, dissecting the whole thing, and showing you the various chips that are on board from Qualcomm, Micron and others.

One thing they noticed is the use of SanDisk 8GB NAND flash RAM, instead of Samsung’s own memory solutions. The 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor is also in there. No need to take apart your own to satisfy your curiosity.

AT&T workers in stores have said that Microsoft is currently working on a fix to stabilize the whole microSD memory card slot reliability issue. AT&T employees have been told not install microSD memory cards in Samsung Focus phones until further notice. Meaning, until a fix is available.

They also advise customers not to upgrade the phones themselves. We have no idea when this “fix” will arrive, but some have gone ahead and successfully installed new memory cards themselves.
