Posted in Wii U by Reuben Drake on July 5th, 2011

Reggie Fils-Aime, the president of Nintendo of America, says that the original Wii won’t be disappearing immediately. The two consoles will be sold together in stores for a short time. We already knew that games will be playable on the controller, but now we have learned that it is possible for the console to stream other media to the portable screen as well.

That’s good news for your Netflix account. Reggie says that the Wii U will arrive after April 1st 2012.

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on June 26th, 2011

Folks in China had the launch of the Motorola Droid 3 last week, but we didn’t have any clue about when it would launch in this part of the world. Well now Droid Attic has a photo of Verizon’s inventory system, which shows an In-Stock date for the Droid 3 as 7/13/2011.

So July 14th will be the day. Better put some dough aside now. It packs a dual-core processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 4″ qHD display, QWERTY keyboard, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, front camera and 16GB of internal storage. No info on pricing yet though.

Verizon Palm Pre 2 gets a release date

Posted in Palm by Conner Flynn on February 6th, 2011

It actually hit Europe a few months back, but now it looks like we’ll finally see this webOS 2.0 phone in our neck of the woods. At least, according to a screenshot posted on precentral.net. The Verizon Palm Pre 2 product page was spotted by someone and it lists the Palm Pre 2 as having a February 17 launch date.

The phone will cost $100 with a 2-year contract. What with a launch date so close to the iPhone, and a rumored Bionic and XOOM release date, the Palm Pre may get lost entirely. Have you been waiting for this one?

Posted in Nintendo 3DS by Conner Flynn on July 29th, 2010

So now we have a date on which they will announce the release date for the 3DS. That seems just a tad silly to us. Why do we need a date to announce the date? Just tell us already. Nintendo has revealed that it will be releasing the official Nintendo 3DS date along with pricing details on September 29.

Mighty nice of them. We’re guessing it will be just before Christmas 2010. Then again, it could be as far off as Christmas in 2011.

Possible Nintendo DSi price and release date

Posted in Nintendo by Conner Flynn on January 14th, 2009

Possible Nintendo DSi price and release dateIf you believe the guys over at IGN, it seems that Nintendo’s DSi will be dropping much sooner than anyone had thought. There’s also a rumored price for the new DSi. IGN’s sources put the DSi’s release somewhere around April 4. The price is apparently going to be $179.99. It’s much higher than the DS Lite at $129.99 due to the DS Lite’s popularity. So, they want to squeeze some extra Mario coins out of ya.

Nintendo wants buyers to see the DS Lite as the system for casual gamers and the DSi to be seen as the system for serious gamers. Looks like the info is dead on, but until Nintendo makes an official announcement, it’s still speculation.
