Posted in Accessories,Baggage,Batteries by Shane McGlaun on September 23rd, 2010

Quirky has some cool products that we have talked about before. One of my favorites was the Switch knife that surfaced a while back. The latest offering from Quirky is the Trek Support backpack. The thing is designed to hold your gadgets and notebook and can help keep them charged up too.

The backpack has a removable battery inside that promises 7 hours of power depending on what you hook to it. The battery pack has four pockets and has enough outlets to charge three of those USB gadgets at the same time.

Quirky has made some of the coolest gadgets and off the wall products I have seen over the last few months. The latest product to come from Quirky is for the iPhone 4 and is called the Tilt.

The Tilt case has a flip down section that can be used to prop the phone up in portrait or landscape modes. The case is offered in black or purple/white colors and the thing is a bumper style case. It should keep you from blocking the antenna and help reception too.

Quirky Flexible Pivot Power Strip

Power strips are great but they have their problems. Like one outlet blocking the other for instance. The Pivot Power from Quirky eliminates that problem with a unique flexible outlet system. Each outlet can be rotated in order to maximize the space for other adapters.

Pretty great solution. It’s not for sale yet, but they’re accepting pre-sale commitments of $23, so if they hit their 960 order goal, they’ll manufacture it. Let’s all order one and reward good design.

Quirky Switch multi tool for geeks

I learned watching MacGyver as a kid that a Swiss Army knife can turn a single person into an entire army. I have had Swiss Army knives before, but I always lose them or forget to put them in my pocket.

Quirky has announced a new and geeky version of a Swiss Army knife called the Switch that is modular and lets the user choose what tools and how many tools are installed on the knife. The Switch will be made in a run of 1250 devices and is up for pre-sale now for $68.

Split Stick Flash Drive Debuts

splitstickOn your typical flash drive, you can always add new folders inside the drive to segregate your data. For some users that really want to keep work and home separate folders may not be good enough.

For this type of users the new Split Stick may be perfect .The device is a double-sided flash drive that is more like two drives grafted on to the end of each other. The drive has one USB connector and a switch that changes between one 2GB flash device or the other.
