Pinball Magic turns your iPhone into a pinball machine

Posted in iPhone by Reuben Drake on March 17th, 2011

Who doesn’t love a game of pinball? Sadly those quarters add up and it can get expensive. Plus Pinball machines take up a lot of space. That’s why we play virtual pinball games on our phones and computer, but this doesn’t equal the same kind of fun.

Pinball Magic won’t give you the same experience as a full-sized pinball machine, but it will give you the experience of playing pinball on a machine designed for tiny people. It will work with a free pinball app that’s available from the Apple App Store, and it works with all iPhone and iPod Touch models that use iOS 3.0 or higher. Just $64.

Coffee tables don’t have to be boring. This one will provide much more fun than just a place to put your books and coffee mugs on it. A fellow named zieak created this amazing table, after picking up a pinball machine from the dump.

He basically transferred the playing surface of the old pinball machine (with some LEDs) into a coffee table. And now I want to do the same.

You can play pinball on your iPhone, but it isn’t really pinball unless you are playing with an actual pinball table, so in order to make things more realistic, at least in miniature, New Potato just released their newest accessory for the iPhone/iPod Touch called Pinball Magic.

It transforms your iPhone into a real pinball machine table. The Pinball Magic accessory comes with flipper buttons, a ball-launching plunger, LED-lit animated backbox, and foldable legs for travel. Just pop your iPhone/iPod Touch into the 30-Pin connector and play away.
