Motorized keyboard moves to relieve stress

Posted in Keyboards by Conner Flynn on January 7th, 2010

Generally we like our keyboards to sit still, but what if a moving keyboard meant less repetitive stress injury? That’s the idea here. This ergonomic USB keyboard from Smartfish moves slightly, just every so often, depending on your workload, which keeps your wrists from aching and helps you avoid repetitive stress injuries.

Look for it in mid-April for $150. Who knows, it may actually help for once. The two halves move apart and together and the base vibrates just a bit once or twice an hour to massage your wrist muscles. You shouldn’t even be aware of the movement.

QPD speakers are motorized

QPD speakers are motorizedMost speakers, though they may deliver great sound, just sit there doing nothing more than sounding off. These QPD speakers however do a little more. They’re motorized so they can do things like park themselves back into the ceiling or wall and disappear from sight.

That way when you aren’t using them, no one knows they are there. Pretty cool. And they won’t take up any extra room in your environment, while letting you add as many as you want, anywhere you want.
