Yesterday we told you about Marty Mcfly’s jacket showing up on ebay. Well, remember Griff Tannen’s hover BMW from the second installment of the futuristic trilogy? Jeff Chabotte never forgot. He tracked down the original movie car, bought it and gave it a complete restoration. Sadly there wasn’t a thing he could do about it’s ability to fly. Chabotte spent a lot of time and money on the project, not to mention the usual blood, sweat and tears. Yep. He loves BTTF and it’s cars just that much. The end result should probably be in a Movie memorabilia museum somewhere. Click the link for a ton of pics.
Hello McFly! Anybody home? If you’re planning a trip into the future or into the past, you’ll want a jacket that will look good while adventuring with Doc Brown. Even if you aren’t going to go traveling in time, it’s a great Halloween costume. Luckily for you it’s available on ebay. It’s not the actual prop jacket from the film, but an awesome detailed recreation. Sadly, it doesn’t include the auto-size adjusting and drying modes. Looks like it’s made from actual leather though. One can only hope since the starting bid is $399.99. It goes great with your hoverboard.
They weren’t kidding about inflation in the Back To The Future movies. A genuine wooden Mattel hoverboard used by Marty McFly himself in Back to the Future II and III is up for auction on ebay. The entry price is $30,000.
But that’s not really news. The movie taught us that everything is more expensive in the future. It’s like $3000 for a Pepsi. Some collector with more money then sense will probably think it’s worth getting their hands on the hoverboard, after all it’s considered the “best example of all wood hoverboards to have survived the rigors of filming,”.
