Logitec’s new wireless router looks like a wind turbine

Posted in Routers by Reuben Drake on March 31st, 2011

The new Logitec (not the big name Logitech we all know and love) LAN-WH450N/GR features four Gigabit Ethernet ports, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless networking for a theoretical 450Mbps, and a wind turbine on top for good measure.

That design gives you improved wireless with three antennas, but really I think they just wanted a router-copter because they thought it looked cool. These new routers will arrive in Japan in mid-April for about ¥19,000 (or $230).

Logitec Japan (not Logitech) has released the world’s smallest stereo Bluetooth 2.1+EDR earphones. The LBT-PCHP02 series is designed for PC users, while the LBT-AVHP02 series is designed for your portable audio player needs.

Both have batteries that deliver four hours of playback and measure just 1.3-inches long and 0.23 inches thick. You’ll get several earbud sizes included so it should fit you with no problems. These earphones can also support two different Bluetooth sources at the same time, so you’ll be able to connect it to your media player and phone.

Posted in Mac by Conner Flynn on August 19th, 2010

Logitec (no not keyboard and mouse maker Logitech) has just released the new LBD-A12SAK/MW drive, so you can store data and record Blu-ray discs right on your Mac Pro at 12x.

This is really handy if you have to make tons of backups, or just plain like to watch Blu-ray movies on your Mac Pro all the time, otherwise you likely won’t need this one. Nothing on pricing yet, but it should be reasonable.

Logitec LAN-W300N/R ultra slim wireless router

Logitec LAN-W300N/R ultra slim wireless routerNot that it’s a competition or anything, but Logitec of Japan is now claiming the thinnest wireless router in the world. The LAN-W300N/R measures a sickly and anorexic 7mm at its thinnest part, while the widest part is a mere 24mm thick.

If you like your routers like supermodels, thin and sexy, the LAN-W300N/R also functions as an access point in your home or office. It’s too early to know if we will ever see it around these parts, but we hope so.

Logitec stereo mic for your iPod

Posted in Microphone by Darrin Olson on March 5th, 2008

Logitec LIC-iREC01 iPod microphoneAnyone that owns an iPod has probably noticed at one time or another that all of them lack a common feature found in many other media players – an audio input source. This fact has opened up a market for many 3rd parties to create microphone accessories for the iPod including one of the latest designs, this time from Logitec.

The LIC-iREC01 microphone connects to any model iPod that has a docking port and provides dual microphone for stereo recording straight to the device. It also has an input port for bringing in other audio sources to record aside from the ambient noise, and it has a pass through USB port to sync up and charge the iPod without having to remove the microphone accessory. A switch on the side controls high or low levels of recording and the part that we like best is that it’s small and doesn’t need any additional cords or loose parts (aside from the dock cap) to operate.
