Roly Poly Iron won’t burn your shirt

Posted in Concepts by Conner Flynn on March 4th, 2010

You know how it is. Every time you and your wife get into a disagreement your shirt ends up getting burnt by the iron. Just an accident surely, but well timed. Well we can’t help you with that, but we can make sure that the iron itself doesn’t burn your shirt.

The Roly Poly Iron will make sure of it. When the iron is left on its own without anybody holding it, the moving weight in the handle rocks to the back of the iron, which tips it backwards to a standing position. Pretty neat. When you come back, just grab the handle and use it.

The Steam Iron gets an LED facelift

The Steam Iron gets an LED faceliftThe iron is one of the few gadgets that has remained largely the same over time. Even this Steam Iron with LED concept doesn’t change it all that much. It features LED lighting that lets you know the temperature, with red presumably meaning that it’s hot and ready.

There’s also a soft silicone lining to prevent you from burning yourself accidentally, which is of course a big plus for you and the emergency room staff. Sure, it won’t iron your clothes all by itself while you play Xbox, but it’s an improvement. I mean, what else are you going to do to upgrade the old iron?

See-through iron let’s you watch the de-wrinkling processDoing chores sucks. Ironing is probably one of the worst chores. But no one likes a wrinkly shirt. This iron should make it a little more bearable. The b-Iron 715 is a clothes iron that’s completely transparent, letting you to see your clothes while you’re ironing. This way you can watch the whole mysterious de-wrinkling right before your eyes. And you won’t burn that shirt.

Let’s just hope that it lives up to all the hype that surrounds transparent iron technology and distributes the heat evenly. Also, if it clouds up from the steam then you will be sadly disappointed. Here’s to hoping they have all the wrinkles worked out.
