Nintendo patents inflatable horse controllerIf you thought that the already available range of Wiimote attachments was crazy, check this out. They are not out of gimmicky ideas just yet. The patent system gives us a glimpse at an inflatable horse-riding controller that may or may not one day have geeks parting with their money.

The inflatable cushion has a spot for your Wiimote and can track your crazed bucking and thrashing as you shout yeehaw, translating it into horse movement. You would hold the nunchuk as if holding the reins.

Horse training vehicle monitors race horses

Horse training vehicle monitors race horsesIf you’ve been journeying far and wide across the interwebz, you may already know what this vehicle is all about. We covered it last July and it’s making the rounds again. If you haven’t seen it, here’s a refresher. This isn’t the Amish discovering Hot Rods, it trains horses.

And we still think Batman may have had something to do with it. I mean, look at the design. Bruce Wayne has his hands in everything. Why not race horses? It allows trainers to be close to the animals while training them and monitoring their vital signs. It has very precise and controlled speeds ranging from walking to 60kph.

If Batman were Amish: Roush Horse Trainer
At first I thought this had to be some backwards Superhero vehicle. You know the old story, Amish guy witnesses the murder of his parents, then grows up to fight crime on the streets with something like this. Only it’s not.

This vehicle is used by Roush Technologies for Turkish-based Kurt Systems, to train horses so they win races. It allows trainers to be close to the animals while training them and monitoring their vital signs. It has very precise and controlled speeds ranging from walking to 60kph. One thing is for sure, you don’t see this on the road everyday.

Google takes the privacy of Horses very seriously
