Hannspree tablets aren’t among the most popular in the US, but they do have a habit of showing up in Europe. So you know the name, even if you don’t own any of their products. A Hannspree tablet roadmap has now surfaced, showing the company’s tablet plans for this year.

Hannspree is already offering a 10 inch tablet with a 1024 x 600 pixel display and NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, but soon a cheaper model with a Texas Instruments chip will be available. Both models have WiFi, Bluetooth, and Google Android 2.2. If it’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb you want, you’ll have to wait until the third quarter of the year.

Other specs include a microSD slot, Android 2.2, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, mini USB / HDMI connector, a built in light sensor, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a Li-ion battery of unknown size. There’s no ship date mentioned, but we’re guessing it will have an early 2011 release.

The latest company to launch an Android tablet is Hannspree and it has some interesting specifications. The Hannspree tablet will feature a 1GHz Tegra 2 SOC processor and 16GB of built in storage, a microSD card slot, a 10.1 inch multitouch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600, and it looks like it will be capable of playing back Full HD video in 1080p via the built in mini HDMI port.

Not bad at all for a tablet. There is also a mini USB port, and a 3,500mAh battery that should give you up to 8 hours. The Hannspree Android tablet should retail for £399 and it will come with Android 2.2.
