Green Shower Radio is powered by water

Posted in Radio by Conner Flynn on March 9th, 2011

Are you green and also like to listen to music in the shower? If so, then check out this new radio called the H2O Shower Powered Radio. The radio connects directly to your shower hose and uses the water pressure to charge its internal battery for playing.

The radio’s H2O micro turbine is spun by the water flowing through the case which powers a generator that charges the battery. Hopefully it doesn’t require super long showers to charge it up.

At last a green solution to all of those calculators that run on gas. Think about it. No more carbon monoxide fatalities during math class. No more having to take your calculator to the mechanic to get an emmisions check. At last, we can cleanly crunch numbers.

So I exaggerated a little. This water powered calculator is still cool. It uses three water batteries for power which have two electrodes inside made from a special alloy. When immersed in water they produce electricity through a chemical reaction.

H2O filter turns your pee into drinkable water

H2O filter turns your pee into drinkable waterWe’ve seen the scenario in many futuristic Sci-fi movies. Some fancy machine turns your urine into actual drinkable water. It’s a very real concept. Once you take out all of the bad stuff, what do you think is left? Water. That’s what.

To use the H2O filter, just urinate straight into it, then put the lid on. For some reason the next step is to squeeze it between your knees to get the filter doing it’s job. Squeezing your knees together usually comes before this part, when you need to pee real bad. Next, just drink up from the spout at the bottom.
