Japan Gundam Phone with Gundam dock

Posted in Mobile Phones by Conner Flynn on May 19th, 2010

It’s the 30th anniversary of Gundam and to celebrate, Bandai has teamed up with Japanese network Softbank for a limited edition Gunpla phone. Each phone comes with a 1:100 scale Gundam model kit, a Gunpla phone cradle, and decals.

The phone itself is a 12.1MP OLED flip. This might be the best phone ever. Pretty Asian lady not included. We didn’t see anything on price, but obviously it’s expensive.

GNO3 Gundam USB flash drive from Bandai Japan

This guy looks a little big to be a flash drive. Then again it is a Gundam. Straight from Bandai Japan, this GNO3 Gundam USB flash drive will protect your desk from other robots and evildoers. It comes in capacities of 1GB, 2GB and 4GB (We think).

It also comes pre-loaded with a GN03 game to pass the time when you should be working. Why not buy two and face them off against each other? If only they moved and I could have my own Rock Em Sock Em robots.

Gundam to be the first Sony PS3 Slim bundleYou know that Sony loves those bundle packs. Well, it looks Gundam will be the first franchise bundle to hit the PS3 Slim. The Japanese only box will include Kidou Senshi Gundam Senki and the pack also includes product codes for FA-78-3 Full Armor Gundam and RX-81AS Assault Armor DLC packs, and an original HD animated Gundam film.

It will be available on September 3rd with the PS3 Slim, priced at 38, 359 Yen, which is 50 Yen less than the cost of the console and game separately. Yeah, if you did the math, that’s only about 53 cents. Thanks Sony.

Botropolis: This week in robots

Posted in Robots by Conner Flynn on June 19th, 2009

Botropolis: This week in robotsIt isn’t easy keeping track of all the robot toys, apparel, etc, while also keeping a watchful eye on various robotic Frankenstein creations over at Botropolis. Luckily we have a sharp team that isn’t afraid to take caffeine intravenously. There’s also the added incentive of me letting the team use my underground Bot-shelter whenever we do face an imminent robot attack. What they don’t know is that I have a few traps installed. Stuff like a trap-door with Rancor pit beneath. You know, if rations start to get low. Hey, I have to look out for me. But I digress. Here’s some of what we covered this week.

Contest: Win a Pimp Bender T-shirt.

Damn that’s huge: Giant Gundam now complete.

Wall-E: New toy actually cleans.

Transformers: Devastator Has Balls.
