Tascam TC-1S solar powered guitar tuner

Tascam has introduced a new way to tune your guitar. It’s compact at just just 3.77- x 0.71- x 1.57-inches and the TC-1S claims to be the world’s first solar-powered tuner. It sports a rugged silicon shell, a USB port for those cloudy days and a carrying clip.

There’s also an integrated microphone and an input for guitar and bass tuning. It can also be calibrated to an external source. The device will be available in si colors (black, pink, orange, green, blue, white) this month.

XA-LM1 LessonMaster audio recorder with guitar tuner and microSD card readerVoice recorders come in pretty handy for musicians, if you have a song you want to lay down and remember later, but sound quality is usually not that great unless you shell out a ton of money. Well, JVC Japan is tossing their hat into the ring with the XA-LM1 LessonMaster.

This one features stereo mics, a digital audio recorder supporting PCM wave files (48kHz/16bit) or MP3s (up to 192KB), a 2GB microSD card, 23mm speaker, metronome, and a chromatic tuner. If you want to use the tuner, you’ll need to be able to read Japanese though. It will arrive in early October and cost about ¥26,250 or €195.
