Guitar Hero 5 axeLooks like Guitar Hero 5 has a new axe for you to grind. This baby features a new white pick guard with a red paintjob for the body. Internal signaling is now digital to minimize latency and the strum bar has been tweaked for the sake of reliability.

You’ll also notice colored dots on the neck for ease of use and slight reliefs on the top, middle, and bottom fret buttons. You can pick one up with your copy of Guitar Hero this September.

Guitar Hero 5 arrives September 1stThat’s right. The latest volume of Guitar Hero is nearly ready to hit the streets. So unpack your plastic guitar (We’re assuming you are sick of those old songs by now.) and get ready to rock. Guitar Hero 5 arrives on September 1st.

There are a bunch of features like the ability to play through sets with no players actively playing, so anyone to join in at any time. But you have some hard choices to make. The release date comes one week before The Beatles: Rock Band. Decisions, decisions.

DJ Hero, Band Hero and Guitar Hero 5 announcedActivision just went bonkers and confirmed a whole bunch of heroes. The most notable is the long-awaited DJ Hero. Music genres include “hip-hop, R&B, Motown, electronica and dance,” and the game will let users create “original mixes”. Activision is also putting the finishing touches on a family-friendly Band Hero game, as well as a Guitar Hero 5 followup.
