eLocity announces seven 10-inch Android 3.0 tablets

eLocity, who makes the A7 tablet shown above has just announced seven 10-inch Tegra 2 tablets running Android 3.0. Yes, seven! We don’t have much info as far as specs, but the new A10 line will use the dual-core Tegra 2 T-250, have “high-resolution” multitouch screens, microSD storage, USB ports, a front-facing camera, and an HDMI port that supports 1080p output.

Who knows why they chose seven 10-inch tablets with pretty much the same basic specs. Maybe they just want to throw a bunch of tablets at the market and see what sticks. We should learn more at CES.

If you pre-ordered the eLocity A7 tablet, customers will begin receiving the tablets on Monday, according to maker Stream TV Networks. The seven inch tablet is touted as being the first to use Android 2.2 in the US and is available through Amazon and other sites for $370.

The dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor lets it play back 3D movies and more advanced games. Some other features include 512MB of RAM, 4GB of flash storage and a microSDHC memory card slot for adding up to 32GB of extra content. There is also a USB port and an HDMI output as well as a 1.3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and two 0.5W speakers.

Elocity A7 for pre-order on Amazon, packs Android 2.2, Tegra 2, for $370

Here’s a tablet that won’t leave you broke. StreamTV’s Elocity A7 is now listed for pre-order on Amazon. They even managed to offer it at a lower price point than promised, just $370.

If this thing sells nicely, it might encourage others to lower their price point. It has some decent specs, but even if it doesn’t completely blow you away with performance, at that price you have to give it a chance.
