Facebook trys easy delete option

Posted in Facebook by Conner Flynn on July 27th, 2010

For years Facebook users have wanted tighter security and recent reports that Facebook users in the US are more satisfied with IRS services than that of Facebook isn’t good news for the company. Well, now they are finally making it easier for us to leave Facebook.

Facebook is trying a new feature for unhappy users to delete their accounts more easily. Current delete procedures take 14 days to confirm, during which time you are bombarded with images of “friends” who will “miss you” and have been trying to contact you.

The Canine Shower Stall makes bathing your dog easy

Posted in Pets by Conner Flynn on April 28th, 2010

Most dogs don’t like to get bathed. They squirm around and try to get out of the water. Most of the time you end up as wet as the dog. The Canine Shower Stall can help. It has 16 water-jet nozzles and a showerhead that will wash and rinse your dog easily in the enclosed space.

The water jets will get through the thickest coats and the stall is made up of two integrated leashes and shower walls that reach 31″-high and a plastic roof to help keep water inside. The whole thing connects to a faucet and has a 2′-long drainpipe to get water out of the shower.

Guinness Bottle Opener Cap makes getting drunk easy

Guinness Bottle Opener Cap makes getting drunk easyIt’s beginning to look a lot like a redneck Christmas…I mean how much do you have to drink during a typical day, to say to yourself, “I need that there hat!”. If you see nothing odd about this bottle opener hat, then chances are pretty good that you attend Nascar races while simultaneously courting your sister. In case it’s not obvious, the Guinness Bottle Opener Baseball Cap has a metal hook on the brim to tear off caps, and it’s officially licensed by the beer company and all.

The cap sells for $25, which isn’t too bad if you absolutely must have it. But you’re probably thinking that your teeth have done the job thus far, and they can probably open another couple hundred beers. Cuz that $25 should really go toward brew.

Lumeta’s “peel & stick” solar panels

Lumeta’s “peel & stick” solar panels
You want some of that sweet solar juice, but you don’t want to tear up your roof just to get solar panels installed. Lumeta’s PowerPly could be the answer. The panels use traditional roofing adhesives, that most roofers will be familiar with, and the process means that there is no need to drill holes and bolts as with most other systems required to mount solar panels. It’s also faster. They can do an entire roof in 35 minutes!

It’s targeted at commercial projects for the moment, but hopefully residential houses will soon be getting the opportunity. Video below.
