Posted in iPod Nano by Conner Flynn on September 9th, 2010

The folks over at iFixit were not going to stop at just disassembling the new iPod touch. Now it is the nano’s turn. The 6th-gen device weighs 67 percent of the volume of its predecessor, with a thicker body and an integrated clip on back.

The teardown found that the 2010 nano has its front glass, LCD and touchscreen assembly all fused together. The battery size is 105mAh, which doubles the 2010 shuffle’s 51mAh.

Hyundai Genesis dissected in time lapse videoNormally if you want to see what it looks like to dissect a car piece by piece, you have to get out the tools and sacrifice your own ride, throwing parts all over the yard. Thanks to Hyundai, you won’t have to do any work at all.

Just watch the video below of a Genesis completely disassembled. I love how the above image looks like parts from a model kit that you might buy in a box. Don’t try this at home. You’ll have parts leftover when you rebuild it.

Nintendo DSi LL gets dissectedAlright so you don’t own a Nintendo DSi LL yet, but you’ve been drooling over it and can’t get enough info, right? Well, here’s a little something for ya. A few lucky folks managed to get their hands on the LL and have immediately and lovingly dissected the device.

Think of it as an autopsy that they’ve performed so that you won’t have to. Have fun checking out the guts of this larger DSi. Unless you’re the squeamish type. We undertstand. It can be hard to look at something you love being so…violated.

Kindle 2 ripped open, contains space for a SIM cardWhat have we here? The Kindle 2 has only been in our collective hands for a few hours, but already it’s been lovingly and thoroughly dissected. The guys at iFixit have already ripped theirs into pieces. Lovingly of course. Someone has to do it.

Probably the most interestingly reveal of the teardown is an empty space for a SIM card slot, which seems to suggest that Amazon has some plans for the Kindle’s international debut. Maybe. Hit the link for step by step details of the teardown.
