There’s this whole fascination with making iPhones look like different things by using clever cases, which makes us wonder…If the iPhone is so awesome looking, why are you hiding it? But that’s a question for another time. Behold, you can now make your phone look like an old Nintendo cartridge.

These iPhone 4 cases were designed by meteor and are made to look like the back of old Famicom and N64 cartridges. These cost a crazy $57, so we imagine that only hardcore Nintendo geeks will be rocking this look.

Amazon promises to replace problem Kindle covers

Posted in kindle by Conner Flynn on December 20th, 2010

Some Kindle owners who purchased the non-lighted Kindle cover from Amazon have been having some issues with the eBook reader after using it. Many users are reporting that the covers are causing the eBook reader to freeze or reboot.

Speculation is that the metal hooks on the cover are the problem. They conduct electricity and are used to power the lighted case, however they are pretty useless for the non-lighted version. Amazon is looking into the problem and has agreed to replace the units.

Grip-It covers for your game controllers

Not sure why you would need these Grip-it covers for your Xbox 360 or the PS3, unless you have some sort of sweaty hand disease. I’ve had hands so sweaty that I couldn’t grip the analog stick on the PS3 controller. Ever. And I play plenty of games.

But if you do need to get a grip, these Grip-it analog covers are now available for both PS3 and Xbox controllers. Each pack comes with four covers. Like condoms for your loving controller partner. So you can cover the analog sticks on two controllers for $4.99.

If you get an incoming Skype or MSN video call, both hands will be lowered. There’s also a manual override that lets you uncover the lens manually.

Star Trek Plate Covers make light switches fun again

Star Trek Plate Covers make light switchesCheck out these Star Trek TNG plate covers for nerd pretend time in your home. The movie will be out soon so why not dress up your light switches? You can get three of them for $18 each. The power plug plate is probably the coolest as it says Plasma Flux Hazard. And that, my geek friend, allows you to pretend that a warp core breach is imminent. You and Geordi better get the hell out of there.

After play time, you can argue about who looks better in Spock ears and when your nerd rage takes over you’ll no doubt roll around on the floor and fight ala Kirk and Spock in the episode entitled Amok Time. And though it’s just wrong, that fighting will give way to sweet love. Afterwards you try to convince yourselves that it’s the work of an evil entity on board the ship. Just another day in the life of 2 Trekkies.
