Trapped Chilean miners get PSPs

Posted in News by Conner Flynn on August 31st, 2010

If anyone ever needed some entertainment, it is people stuck in a mine. It helps to take your mind off the fact that you are in an enclosed space and trapped there for months. At least for a few moments anyway.

Just in case you have been in a mine of your own, there are 33 miners trapped in a collapsed mine shaft in Chile right now, and they are going to be down there for a long time. Maybe three to four months. Thank god for video games.

Chinese-based company Chile is showing off their latest Android tablet, the T7-3G. This one is powered by a 720MHz ARM11 processor and features a 7-inch 800 x 600 resistive touchscreen display, 256MB RAM, 2GB of storage space, an SDHC card slot (up to 32GB), web browser, 1080p Full HD video playback support, 3G, WiFi, a USB 2.0 port, a 3.5mm headset jack and it runs Android 2.1 OS.

There’s also a 4500 mAh battery and an integrated accelerometer so that the screen rotates automatically when you change the orientation of the device. Nothing on pricing and availability yet.
