Allegro Rainbow’s Guitar video game has been rocking CES this week. Music Wizard Group’s Guitar Wizard video game is a step forward after their successful Piano Wizard title, but Guitar Wizard is not just another version of Guitar Hero. It’s actually an educational video game that’s designed to help kids of all ages to read and play music.

Guitar Wizard will be available on both PC and MAC platforms, and will come with an actual honest to God guitar from US Music Corp. and an Interface by SoundTech. Plus, the software is compatible with just about any MIDI guitar.

New PoV Web cam offers freedom to roam

IPEVO PoVIPEVO, a developer of Internet devices, is using CES to show off its new PoV Web camera, which “lets users share their Point of View during Instant Messaging, chat sessions, and other Internet communication applications.” No specific pricing has been given for this product.

IPEVO says the PoV is unique in that one can detach it and capture images and video from any angle and vantage point. This Web cam is compatible with most IM applications and includes an integrated microphone for audio. It is USB 2.0 compliant and will only work with Windows.

Celestron Microscope has LCD screen, takes pictures

Celestron LCD MicroscopeA USB microscope is only one of the cool new science gadgets that Celestron is showcasing at this years CES 2008 conference. The company is also going to be showing off this LCD Digital Microscope (LDM) that’s targeted for everyday science enthusiasts and features a built-in, high-resolution 3.5″ LCD screen to view your various microscopic items.

The LDM has multiple magnification levels including 4x, 10x, and 40x, and a 4x digital zoom giving it the ability to view things up to 1600 times their actual size. With this microscope, squinting through an eyepiece to share with others is just not necessary due to that handy color LCD screen.
