Interactive Punch-Out arcade dummy

Posted in Games by Conner Flynn on May 19th, 2009

The old school 8-bit hit known as Punch-Out launched yesterday. And in honor of it’s revival, this guy turned his Slam Man Boxing Dummy into a handy practice buddy for Mike Tyson’s Punch Out on the NES.

There are arcade buttons on the dummy itself, allowing you to control your in-game character by punching those buttons. There are instructions if you want to build one yourself and work out some aggression. We can only guess that it makes for one hell of a workout and leaves your knuckles sore and bruised.

Everlast Wii Boxing Gloves

Everlast Wii Boxing GlovesWe’ve covered our share of Wii boxing gloves, but at long last Nintendo and Everlast have teamed up to deliver a knock out with these new boxing gloves. Of course they will cost you. After all, you recognize the name right? Everlast is the big time product maker of all kinds of real Boxing gear, so the gloves will cost you $30. Look at it this way. After you buy them at that price, you’ll be good and ready to knock somebody out.

ezGear Wii Boxing gloves

ezGear Wii Boxing glovesCheck out these ezGear Wii Boxing Gloves. The picture seems to suggest that they make girls twice as hot, while arming them for a good ass-kicking. Yours, if you get out of line. Style-wise they beat the hell out of the old inflatable Wii Boxing gloves. They also look far more comfortable then real Boxing gloves, and should give you a more realistic experience when you play Wii Boxing.

Eye of the tiger baby. You can win Rock. Just slip the Wii-remote and Nunchuk into the gloves or you can use them while holding the Nunchuk and Wiimote. But why would you want to? If only the girl in the pic would play with me. I call her out right now like Clubber Lang challenging Rocky. She might take up the challenge. Probably figures I’m frail from a life of blogging. Which I am, but I’m training.

USB Boxer acts out the PC game

Posted in USB by Darrin Olson on March 3rd, 2008

USB BoxerThis desktop boxer connects to your computer via USB and will act out the punches you throw in an associate PC game. The game has three modes that let you interact with the boxer, letting you throw left and right punches, rotate the boxer around the punching bag and count the times you hit the bag to ring up your score.

Using the left, right, up and down arrows you can take out your aggressions with the speed bag and even work on your finger-eye coordination by getting your rhythm and speed up to snuff. The game will even allow you to set ring times between 1 and 10 minute intervals, increasing it as you build up your stamina, and has included bell and crowd sounds which will be sure to get you made in your cuberhood. The company describes this as the most advanced USB toy of the year, but I guess it’s only March so they just may have that title so far this year.
