Toshiba MK6461GSYG 2.5” Drive with automatic data destruction

Posted in Toshiba by Conner Flynn on April 13th, 2011

We are talking destroying data on purpose, not by accident. So don’t worry, Toshiba isn’t shipping any faulty gear here. The new MK6461GSYG Series of HDD is a secure HDD with AES 256Bit encryption that will “invalidate” the data, rendering it useless when the drive connects to an unknown computer. Therefore, making your data more secure.

You can expect these new drives to be available at the end of June in 160, 250, 320 and 640GB capacities with a 7,200rpm speed. No idea which laptops these will show up in. We will have to wait and see.

Automatic Trash Can with Multi-sense

Posted in Home by Conner Flynn on October 19th, 2010

Man it is so hard to open the lid of a trash can to throw away trash. That’s why we need an automatic trash can. Simplehuman has come up with an automatic trash can, called the sensor can, that has a multi-sense sensor. That means it can guess what you’re trying to do and determine whether to keep the lid open or not.

When the lid is closed, the sensor zone is above the trash can, so walking past won’t trigger it. Once the lid is open, the sensor zone is widened to see if you are still around and throwing things away. If you stay there for over three seconds, it will enter a stay-open mode for thirty seconds. It’s powered by six C batteries which will last a year, or you can run it off the socket.

ChefStack Automatic Pancake MachinePancakes are tasty in the morning. But they are soooo hard to make. First you have to pour the batter in the pan, wait, flip it and wait some more before they hit your plate. Who has the time or skill for such difficult foods?

Thankfully, the ChefStack Automatic Pancake Machine will do all of the work for you. Pancakes are so difficult that clearly $3500 is well worth it. It will spew out perfect four-inch pancakes. 200 per hour in fact.

Dog-O-Mat: Automatic dog-washing vending machineJust look at that poor pathetic pooch. He’s in a “washing-machine”. A dog washing-machine. Yes it’s the Dog-O-Matic, a mini car-wash for dogs. It will rid your beast of flees with ease, so you can rest asured that Fido’s hair won’t make you sneeze.

Yes my friends, the Dog-O-Matic will clean the entire range of your pooch’s mange. Just take a gander at the lack of dander. Only takes one terrifying(For your dog) half an hour. It’s from Romain Jarry, who insists that the device is not cruel. He plans to introduce it to U.K. next year, and the dogs are worried.

Fully-Automatic LEGO Uzi

Fully-Automatic LEGO UziWe’ve seen Lego guns before, but this one is pretty special. It was inspired by the Micro Uzi and this LEGO weapon packs a punch. It can shoot dozens of rubber bands in just seconds.

Flip the switch and it can go from semi-automatic to fully-automatic. You’ll want to hit the link for a video of the uzi in action, where you will see that this is not your average wimpy rubber band gun. It can fire off rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger. The secret apparently is in the 8 x 1 LEGO beam that pivots around it’s center, for its firing action.

The Tech Shuffler card shuffler

The Tech Shuffler card shuffler
Card shufflers have been around for awhile, but they haven’t really gone high tech until now. Which is good news, because if your buddies have had a few too many drinks, you are bound to get a crap hand. And that just won’t do when you are down to your last chip and have bet your wedding ring on the outcome of this hand.

Shuffle Tech says that this state-of-the-art version will speed up the whole card shuffling process. It has two options, one with three riffles that takes 45 seconds and the other with seven that takes 90 seconds. I’m not sure that’s a whole faster, but again, if your buddies are half drunk, it may be. It also has a translucent lid in case you are fascinated by the goings on inside.
