Luxurite 82-inch Glass TV

If you like your TV to have a more glass, Luxurite has released their Giant series 82-inch Glass TV, basically a two-way mirror with an LCD screen behind it. This means that when the LCD is activated, you see the display. When it’s turned off, you only see your reflection.

That huge screen delivers 1080p resolution, a 120,000:1 contrast ratio and you also get three HDMI inputs. This weather-proof Glass TV is also available in 15-inch, 17-inch, 19-inch, 22-inch and 42-inch sizes.


Mitsubishi WD-82738 82 Inch 3D TV for $3800

Mitsubishi has announced three new lines of “affordable” 3D Home Cinema TVs. The most interesting model is the 82-inch DLP with 3D for just under $4,000. Sure DLP will bulk it up some, but if that’s a trade off you are willing to make, that’s not a bad price.

The WD-82738 adds StreamTV Internet Media, with applications like Pandora to Vudu to NY Times. The WD-82838 is another 82-inch set for $4,500, which also includes Immersive Sound Technology, and an integrated 16-speaker 5.1 surround sound system.

82-Inch Mitsubishi WD-82737 3D-Ready TV for $4200Mitsubishi just announced a whole bunch of new LCDs. DLPs too. The one that has us most interested is an 82-inch DLP for $4200. It isn’t just frakkin huge, it’s also equipped with “3D-ready viewing technology.”

With this baby you’ll be all ready to go whenever 3D content enters your home. It’s part of their 737 “home theater” TV line. The company also updated their soundbar-integrated LCD TVs, which start at $1800 for a 40-inch model up to to $3,300 for a 52-incher.

82-Inch 1080p LCD coming from HoneywellHow does that headline grab you? Start saving your money now. According to HD Guru, Honeywell will sell an 82″ 1080p LCD in the US THIS year. Honeywell isn’t exactly a name we associated we the next huge-ass LCD.

They are actually just licensing their name to Taiwan-based Soyo, who will be making this 300-pound behemoth. Some features include 120Hz motion-blur reduction, 178-degree viewing angle, 3 HDMI inputs, and a dynamic contrast ratio of 120,000:1. The model number is MT-HWGWT8218AM.
