Apple 27-inch Thunderbolt display with FaceTime HD camera and built-in speakers

Apple’s new Thunderbolt display is a 27-inch model with a 2560 x 1440 resolution 16:9 IPS display. It packs in Apple’s new connectors, an integrated 2.1 speaker system, and a Firewire 800 slot. If that isn’t enough, there’s also a built-in FaceTime HD camera and Mic, Gigabit Ethernet, three USB 2.0 ports and MagSafe charging for your MacBook.

The DisplayPort hookup can daisy chain up to six high speed devices. It will cost $999. Just when Apple fans had some money in the bank, they now have something more to buy.

Samsung S27A950D 27-Inch 3D LCD Monitor

Samsung has just released a stylish new 3D LCD monitor, the S27A950D, for the European market. This 27 inch monitor features a 120Hz panel, it is LED-backlit and provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, and a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.

Other features include 300 cd/m2 brightness, a 2ms response time, and comes with a pair of active 3D glasses. There’s also a built-in IR emitter for synching with the 3D glasses, dual-DVI, HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 connectors. The S27A950D is available for pre-order in Europe for about $812.

Philips Brilliance 273P3L 27-Inch Full HD Monitor

Philips has just unveiled another Full HD monitor with the introduction of the Brilliance 273P3L. Using PowerSensor technology, this new 27-inch LED-backlit monitor delivers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, a 500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 395 cd/m2 brightness and a 2ms response time.

As far as connectivity ports for your other stuff, you are covered. It has three USB 2.0, D-Sub, DVI as well as HDMI. The Brilliance 273P3L will be available soon for about 390 Euro (or about $550).

LG E2770V-BF 27-Inch Full HD Monitor

Those looking for a largish computer monitor will want to take a good look at LG’s latest Full HD monitor, the E2770V-BF. It uses LG’s TruMotion technology, so it should perform well under most situations.

The 27-inch IPS LED-backlit monitor provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 250 cd/m2 brightness. Other features include D-Sub, DVI-D as well as 2 HDMI connectors. The E2770V-BF will cost you about $410.

Apple 27-inch Cinema Display now for sale

An update to Apple’s online store a few days ago was all we needed to tip us off to the possible arrival of Apple’s 27-inch LED Cinema Display. Apple is pretty predictable after all. And of course we were right, the display is finally available for purchase on Apple’s online store.

The display delivers a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, LED backlighting, and a 178-degree viewing angle. The 27-inch Cinema Display first announced back in July and it is estimated that it will ship in 1-2 weeks and will cost $999.

Apple has just announced its latest 27″ LED Cinema Display. It features a stunning 2560 x 1440 resolution and 60% more screen real estate compared to its predecessor. It has a built-in iSight video camera, microphone and speakers, a powered USB 2.0 hub and universal MagSafe connector.

This good looking $999 monitor also sports a beautiful 16:9 edge-to-edge glass display on an aluminum stand with an adjustable hinge, so that tilting the display requires almost no effort at all. Let’s not forget the 178 degree viewing angle.

ASUS unveils PG276H 27 inch Full HD 3D Monitor

ASUS has unveiled their latest 27-inch Full HD 3D monitor at CeBIT 2010. The PG276H is a nice looking widescreen monitor that supports NVIDIA’s 3D Vision technology so you can watch all the new 3D movies being produced.

It will deliver 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 20,000:1 contrast ratio, 2ms response time and 120Hz refresh rate. As far as ports, it offers dual-link DVI, HDMI and VGA. No info on pricing and availability just yet, but we should know soon.


27 inch Apple iMacs are shipping again

Apple’s 27-inch iMacs have been having some issues lately, which have caused long delays in shipments, but now it looks like things are back on track.

So if you’ve been waiting for your iMac to arrive, some users have started to receive notifications that the units will be shipping out soon. To give you some idea, one user who ordered a 27-inch iMac on January 29th has received his shipping email, letting him know that the unit is scheduled to leave on February 9th.

Apple refunding 15% on broken 27-inch iMacs

It sucks getting stuck with any broken device. If you’re a Mac fan, being stuck with a broken 27-inch iMac will make you want to cry. Many have been waiting and hoping that Apple sorts out their display issues. Too many people have been affected.

If you are having problems, it looks like there may be a silver lining in your darkened Mac cloud. Apparently Apple is giving customers in the US 15% refund bonuses. Keep in mind that 15% on a $2000 machine is roughly $300. That isn’t bad at all.

BenQ 27 inch M2700HD monitor

BenQ 27 inch M2700HD monitorIt’s funny how companies can change. BenQ used to make cheap, but decent electronics. They still make the cheap stuff, but they offer some premium gear too. We’ve been impressed by some of their offerings lately.

The M2700HD is a 27-inch, 16×9 monitor with 1080P and a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1. You’ll also get two HDMI inputs and 10W virtual surround speakers. Not bad for this size that can work as a PC monitor or TV. We are interested to find out what this will be priced at given their history.

BenQ M2700HDS 27 inch Widescreen LCD MonitorBenQ has unveiled the upcoming 27-inch LCD monitor dubbed the M2700HDS in Japan. This latest widescreen monitor from the company boasts a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness and four 2.5W built-in speakers.

As far as ports, it features USB, D-Sub, DVI and two HDMI ports. The M2700HDS will be available later in the year. Unfortunately, we don’t have a price yet, but it should fall in line with other monitors with comparable specs.
