Dell has revealed at CES a new 30-inch widescreen flat panel sporting the new DisplayPort standard of “digital visual performance and connectivity.” The Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP is set to price at around $2,000.
The Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP makes use of the DisplayPort standard endorsed by the Video Electronics Standards Association and is the first monitor commercially available to do so. The DisplayPort design is “a new digital interface standard that includes a USB-sized connector, double the scalable performance of DVI, and a unique architecture that enables new features.” Resolution on the 3008WFP is set at WQXGA 2560 x 1600.
Other features of Dell’s new DisplayPort screen include 8ms response time, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, HDMI and other connectivity options, an adjustable stand and four USB 2.0 ports built-in. The Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP is available now.
